Hawala

Hawala is a financial transfer and remittance management platform designed to facilitate secure, fast, and reliable money transfer operations between agents, operators, and regional transaction hubs. The Hawala Documentation project was created to guide developers, financial operators, and administrators through the system setup, transaction processing workflows, API integrations, user authentication, wallet management, and transaction monitoring processes.

The project documentation was developed to help users understand how to configure transaction channels, manage sender and receiver records, monitor transfer statuses, integrate external financial services, manage agent commissions, and automate transaction workflows through API integrations and webhook systems.

As the Technical Writer and Documentation Specialist for this project, I was responsible for creating, organizing, and maintaining the technical and operational documentation for the Hawala platform.

I structured onboarding guides, API references, transaction workflow documentation, and administrator setup instructions using MDX and Markdown formats. I also created developer-focused documentation for authentication systems, transfer APIs, webhook events, and wallet management modules while ensuring the documentation remained simple, structured, and easy for technical and non-technical users to follow.
